App Review: Vinted

Shopping for clothes can get extremely expensive, especially when on a tight college budget. Some alternatives students can turn to include thrifting and online shopping. An app called Vinted has combined those two alternatives.
Vinted is where anyone can sell, buy or swap clothing, shoes and other accessories for reasonable prices. On this app there are various brands of clothing from Forever 21 to Nike athletic wear.
Buying, selling and swapping are easy to do. Selling requires the user to upload pictures and set the price for the item, detailing if there are any issues or damages. Customers can message the seller if they are interested in their product.
When someone buys the item, the shipping label can be printed out from the app, ready to be added to the package.
The great thing about Vinted is that the seller will not receive any money until the person buying the item confirms they have received the item and are happy with it.
If one user sees another item a user likes, they can make a deal to swap clothing. There are options for swapping that allows for “insurance” to be used to prevent any type of fraud.
To put this app to the test, I downloaded it, seeing if it was easy to navigate. Within minutes of browsing the app, I quickly found many items I wanted to buy.
The app allows for filtering in sizes, prices, type of item and even color. I found this to be a helpful tool because if I only want to spend $10 I could limit the price. While I have not ordered anything from the app yet, I definitely will in the future.
